This is a perfect base from which to discover France's Yonne department, and the rest the north-central French region of Burgundy. Despite the tranquil and secluded countryside setting, our establishment benefits from easy access via both car and train.
Access by car
La Fontaine aux Muses is located just 6 km from exit 18 (direction Joigny) of the A6 motorway (Autoroute du Soleil). It only takes around 1 hour to 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach us from Paris, and 1 hour and 30 minutes from Dijon or 3 hours from Lyon, both to the south. From nearby Sens or Auxerre, La Fontaine aux Muses is only around 30-40 minutes drive from both cities, via the RN 6.
Access by train
La Fontaine aux Muses is located just 9 km drive from the SNCF train station in Joigny town centre. From Paris (Gare de Bercy), the journey time to Joigny is around 1 hour and 15 minutes. There are also numerous trains which operate from both Dijon (taking a little under 2 hours) or Lyon (via Dijon, taking around 4 hours).
